Situated just a few miles inland from Bembridge, Brading is one of the oldest towns on the Isle of Wight and steeped in history. Here you will see some delightful cottages, interesting architecture and can explore the pretty Norman church of St Mary's, the Bull Ring and the Old Town Hall, with its whipping post and stocks.
The town itself is home to a number of the Island's main visitor attractions including, Brading Roman Villa, The Lilliput Antique Doll and Toy Museum, which has more than 2,000 exhibits, Morton Manor with its gardens, cider making and maize maze and Nunwell House where you can experience medieval jousting contests.
The town also offers good access to both the Brading and Arreton Downs, where the views are breathtaking.
Catch the train to head south towards Sandown, Lake and Shanklin or north towards Ryde. Regular bus services link Brading directly with Ryde, Newport, Sandown Shanklin and Ventnor.
