Hovertravel Ltd

Hovertravel operates the fastest service to and from the Isle of Wight. The hovercraft takes 10 minutes (on average) to cross between Ryde and Southsea (Portsmouth).

The company was established in 1965 and is the world's longest running hovercraft service.

So far Hovertravel has carried over 20 million foot passengers over the Solent.

Hovertravel also operates a parcel service between Southsea (Portsmouth) and Ryde (Isle of Wight); and a fast same-day courier service all around the Island.

The Isle of Wight is the only place in Europe with a year-round hovercraft service.

A3054 to Ryde. Hovercraft terminal is next to Planet Ice Arena on esplanade.
From mainland: M275 into Portsmouth, follow 'yellow triangle' symbols to Southsea beach and Clarence Pier.

From West Cowes Red Jet Hi-speed ferry: No. 1 bus route to Newport and change to No. 9 to Ryde.
From Yarmouth ferry: No. 7 bus route to Newport and change to No. 9 to Ryde.
