Lavender Cottage is a comfortable and well-maintained self-catering cottage. This cottage is open all year with gas central heating throughout with a Clear View Wood Burner in the lounge.
There are three bedrooms (all with vanity units) - family, double and twin bedrooms. The bathroom consists of a corner shower unit, bath, toilet and vanity unit. The cottage also has a large well-equipped kitchen-diner, downstairs w/c and large lounge.
Lavender Cottage has recently been refurbished to a very high standard including oak flooring throughout the ground floor. There is a large garden as well as an enclosed area to the cottage with garden furniture and BBQ. There is also ample car parking.
Gas, electricity, towels and bed linen are all included and beds are made ready for guest arrival.
There are many hand-fed animals for children to handle and feed, ducks, geese, chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs etc, and a miniature horse [Charlie Brown]. There is free fishing on a three acre fishing lake with lovely wooded walks.
The cottage is quietly situated in the heart of the Island surrounded by beautiful countryside in a designated area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Ideal for a peaceful holiday and for walking/cycling. Local riding stables and cycle hire is only minutes away, there are many foot/bridle paths to take from here and there are very good cycle paths on the Island.
The Chequers Inn is only a five minute walk which is very child friendly having a wonderful adventure play garden – www.chequersinn.co.uk
The village Co-Op supermarket is open 7am-11pm with the main supermarkets 10 minutes away in Newport. There is also a very good organic supermarket five minutes away (Godshill Organics).
